Rule one
Money stays attached to its paperwork
A payment is never a loose number in a feed. It belongs to an invoice, a client and a receipt, and Stapler keeps that chain intact. When a deposit is ambiguous, it asks you instead of guessing.
00 / About Stapler
Getting paid is three jobs pretending to be one: send the invoice, catch the money, nudge whoever forgot. Stapler is one ledger that does all three, so the work you already did actually turns into money in your account.
01 / The problem
A freelancer sends a PDF from one tool, watches deposits arrive in a bank app, and keeps a spreadsheet to remember who still owes what. Every handoff between those three is a spot where money goes missing for a week.
Small agencies feel it worse. Someone has to read the bank feed, guess which transfer belongs to which job, and write the “just checking in” email nobody enjoys sending. Stapler exists to take that whole loop off your desk.
Where the drift happens
02 / House rules
Rule one
A payment is never a loose number in a feed. It belongs to an invoice, a client and a receipt, and Stapler keeps that chain intact. When a deposit is ambiguous, it asks you instead of guessing.
Rule two
Reminders are drafted in plain, polite language you can rewrite in your own voice. They stop the moment a payment or a reply arrives, and a client never gets a nag for something they already settled.
Rule three
You should be able to send a proper invoice in minutes, not after a configuration weekend. Every default can be overridden on a single invoice, and nothing is buried three menus deep.
03 / How it is built
Invoices, card payments, bank transfers, reminders and receipts all write to the same record. That is why the numbers on your dashboard, your client page and your reports can never disagree.
04 / How it is supported
Support
Send questions, bugs or feature wishes to hello@staplerworks.com. Replies come from the people who build and run Stapler.
Your data
Export invoices, payments and expenses whenever you like. If you ever move on, your history leaves with you in files any accountant can open.
Status + community
The Status page reports incidents as they happen, and the Community is where plans for the next release get argued over, politely.
Pricing
Single Sheet is $0, Binder is $29 and Filing Cabinet is $429 a month. See what each shelf holds on the pricing page.
05 / Where it is going
Better handling of split payments and one deposit covering several invoices.
Start from a tone like warm, brisk or formal, then edit every word.
Cleaner hand-off of paid invoices and categorised expenses to the books your accountant keeps.
